Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the GradeView mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service") operated by GradeView ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Data Source Disclaimer

All grade distribution data displayed within GradeView is sourced exclusively from publicly available records provided by colleges and universities, including data obtained through public information requests under applicable state open records laws (such as the Texas Public Information Act).

GradeView does not create, modify, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed in the app. The information is presented as-is, directly as reported by the respective institutions. Errors, omissions, or outdated information may exist within the source data and will be reflected in the app.

2. No Liability for Data Accuracy

We expressly disclaim all liability arising from any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in the grade distribution data displayed. GradeView shall not be held responsible for any decisions made — academic, professional, financial, or otherwise — based on information obtained through the Service.

If you believe data displayed is inaccurate, we encourage you to verify directly with the relevant institution.

3. Informational Use Only

The Service is intended solely for informational and educational purposes. Nothing in the Service constitutes academic advising, career counseling, or any form of professional advice.

4. Intellectual Property

The GradeView app, its design, branding, and original content are the property of GradeView and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The underlying grade data belongs to the respective universities and is used in accordance with public records law.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradeView and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero dollars).

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
